XS650 Club Ride

The XS650 club met to attend a Charity ride day at Nepean Raceway.
The charity was for an old racer that died of cancer so money raised went half to his family (McFarlane Trust) and other half to the Cancer Clinic.

We had a great day watching all the old bikes racing flat track

This Triumph must have been the shiniest bike in the paddock.

This XS has a purpose, and its not just to look pretty.

Herb's fleet of Yellow Trackers.

The "other" Jamie's fancy Sparx alternator

Club parking, I have never seen so many XS's in 1 place at 1 time!

Spy Pics of a couple of projects in the works, they are both amazing!

Longbeach Motorcycle Swap

Longbeach swap meet was awesome, so many parts so many people and bikes. 95% Harley but still an eyeopener. Saw the following:

a beautiful unrestored Kawa 500 for $4000 and a nice Triump for $4ooo also.
The crowd was from central casting, I didn't know people like that were real!
Lots of clothes, parts, tools, bicycles, and a couple of cars. Probably would have filled two drive in theatres!

Back to Five Dock

Got a chance to visit the old neighbourhood whilst out onsite for work, oh boy do I miss living so close to the best deli's in Sydney!

I took the opportunity to visit Ranieri's Deli and pickup a load of Italian goodies, and make some pizza for dinner. :)

REAL mozzarella cheese. I really don't know how they call that yellow grated stuff at the supermarket mozzarella, it looks nothing at all like the real thing!

Awesome ham, fresh olives, Raineri's own secret recipe marinated capsicum, and semi dried tomatoes. Topped off with cheese broken up by hand, one for me, one for the pizza, one for me.... Pizza base and sauce from Raineri's too.

Served with a nice glass of red, looks and tastes just like the real thing!

If you are in Sydney, and love good food, it's worth a trip... P & R Raineri's Deli 97 Great North Rd Five Dock

The Parallel Universe

Friday... Lunchtime... I recieve an email from Deus Ex Machina... They are celebrating the Parallel Universe on Saturday!? WTF? How about some more warning next time?

Some great rides showed up... Real nice unrestored, but perfectly running Triumph.

The boys from Evolution bought some of their bobber projects, built from cheap ass 250 Honda and Yamaha twins.

Few more nice classics...

This BSA really should have won the best stock bike trophy.

I parked along side some Kawasakis W's whilst the rest of the Yamaha 650s were a bit further along.

Sweet trophies were handmade by one of the Deus Mechanics!

Sydney Dirtbike Spectacular

Was a beautiful sunny winter day, but the wind blowing the dirt from the
track straight into the grandstand was annoying to say the least.

First MX frame flat track event at this venue, hopefully we will see it as
a regular event now that Oran Park is gone :'(

Was great to see the 4 year olds have a go on the same track as the open
class seniors! And the little under 9's starting by standing on wooden
blocks so as not to fall off on the line. This looks like fun, maybe the
KTM will come down off bikesales and be given a 2nd chance!
